Knives & Freeze Brands

I have been making knives and freeze brands for about 30 years. I am self taught. Starting out, I didn't "sell" many because I had too many friends and relatives, inlaws and outlaws...!

I make my knives and freeze brands mostly from scratch in a small shop with a few basic tools.

I use 440c stainless steel mostly for my knives, but I do make some carbon steel blades also. For handle material, I use wood, antler, horn, brass, aluminum, and a combination of these.

Before an order is made, I like to talk with the customer first about what they want. I ask for a drawing-either an idea or an exact drawing-to go by, especially for the freeze brands.
